Continuing Professional Development for Instructors

The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme for Ladder Association Instructors was launched at this year’s Annual Members’ Meeting, on the 5 November 2010.

What is CPD?

CPD is an ongoing process of personal growth to enhance capability and realise full potential as an instructor. CPD opportunities provide a means whereby you can keep abreast of changes in the industry, broaden your skills and be more effective in your work.

Some of the benefits of CPD are as follows:

- Allows you to build confidence and credibility as an instructor
- Cope positively with change by constantly updating your skill set.
- Be more productive and efficient by reflecting on your learning and highlighting gaps in your knowledge and experience.
- Achieve your career goals by focusing on your training and development.

You can view the full CPD guidance document here.

How to record CPD Points
All of your CPD activities, including the delivery of Ladder Association courses, should be shown on your CPD record which you can download here. All relevant activities should be recorded on the CPD record and made available on request for audit purposes.
