Focusing on competency and running from now until the end of March 2008, the HSE's 'Shattered Lives' campaign is intended to  highlight the range of skills and knowledge that an HSE or Local Authority inspector looks for when assessing competency in the workplace.

A major theme of the campaign, aimed specifically at the building and plant maintenance sectors, is the clear connection between training and competency when working at height.

As the lead trade association and training provider for the ladder industry, the Ladder Association is fully supporting the campaign by offering a 10% discount on the normal delegate rate for the standard Ladder Association training course.

To take advantage of this discounted offer, email shatteredlives@ladderassociation.org.uk or click the link above to obtain your promotional code.  Be sure to give us your contact details. This code must be quoted when booking your 'Shattered Lives' training course.

Falls from height are the main cause of death in the workplace. Forty-five people died in 2006/07 as a result of a fall from height. There were 3750 major injuries, 350 every month.

By responding to the 'Shattered Lives' campaign you will be helping to reduce the number of tragic deaths and terrible injuries resulting from falls from height. That is why the Ladder Association is enthusiastically embracing this latest HSE initiative.
