Ladder Association expands into the Middle East

The Ladder Association continues its overseas expansion by welcoming two new Training Members in the Middle East, Al Laith Scaffolding LLC and Simian International.

Dubai-based Al Laith is a well-known supplier of a range of construction and events scaffolding structures across the UAE, having serviced the region for almost 30 years. Simian International offer a complete range of scaffold and work at height safety services to international clients from their base in Abu Dhabi, with training centres in key strategic locations around the globe. Both companies have already demonstrated their commitment to delivering accredited training to the highest standards through their existing training centre memberships with PASMA¹.

As Ladder Association Training Centres, Al Laith and Simian will provide much-needed capacity to fulfil the growing demand for accredited ladder training in the Middle East and help educate companies and workers on how to prevent falls from height when using ladders.

Nadia Cadeddu, Commercial Manager at Al Laith Scaffolding LLC said, “Working at height can be high risk, so it’s imperative that workers are using safe products and are trained properly in how to use them correctly. We pride ourselves on offering the most up-to-date training solutions and strive to serve our clients effectively and safely. Joining the Ladder Association gives us the opportunity to further build on these offerings.”

Ian Fyall, Managing Partner at Simian International commented, “We are delighted to expand our portfolio of work at height training to include ladder safety, and to work with the Ladder Association – the ‘go-to’ industry body recognised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in the UK. Our aim is to deliver accredited ladder training throughout the UAE and welcome delegates from all types of operations including schools, hospitals, construction and maintenance, to help keep workers safe at height and reduce incidents.”

Sarah Nunn, Head of International Development at the Ladder Association said, “I am delighted to see the Ladder Association expand into the Middle East and I look forward to supporting Al Laith and Simian as our first two approved Training Centres in the region. Both training centres have knowledgeable, trained Instructors ready to deliver our full suite of training courses for ladder users and for Managers and Supervisors who are responsible for ladder use in the workplace.”
