Introducing... online Ladder Learning

Ladder Association Training Members can now offer online Ladder Learning to their delegates for both the Ladders & Stepladders for Users and the Ladders & Stepladders Inspection courses. This has been launched as a direct response to the coronavirus crisis which has resulted in training centres having to temporarily suspend face-to-face training.

* Face-to-face contact between instructors and delegates is minimised for the theory session

* Delegates can continue to develop their skills and learning during this quieter time when they may be off-site

* When training centres and sites re-open, delegates only need to be away from site or jobs for half the time they would have usually, had the full course taken place in the classroom.

If you would like to find out more and book an online course, contact your nearest approved Ladder Association Training Centre. Click here to find your nearest member.

Did you know that furloughed staff can still undertake training at this time? Use this downtime productively for online training, so they will spend less time in the classroom when training centres re-open. To read the Government guidance on furloughed staff - and what they can and cannot do at this time - click here.

Book a delegate onto a course taking place up to 90 days in the future and we will give them immediate online access to the theory session to complete at home. When they come to your centre (when it's once again safe to do so), you can skip straight to the written assessment and then work through the practical. If a delegates Ladder Card is about to expire, we will extend it for 90 days when they complete the online training.

What does the online course consist of?

It's a series of videos, recorded by the Ladder Association's Chris Smith. The content is the same as the normal classroom-based version of the courses.

Which courses can be done online?

Ladders & Stepladders for Users and the Ladders & Stepladders Inspection courses.

Do delegates get a certificate for the online course?

Yes, delegates will receive an e-certificate to prove that they have completed it.

What if the assessment and practical session cannot be completed within 90 days?

We will keep the 90-day limit under review. In the event that it needs to be extended, we will do so. You would then be able to reschedule the course within the extended time limit.
