We are delighted to have joined forces with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), and after many months of collaboration, we are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the revised industry guidance: INDG 455 ‘Safe use of ladders and stepladders: A brief guide’.
To launch the joint guidance, we’re inviting you – and anyone who manages, supervises or employs ladder users – to join us and the HSE for a one-off online event ‘Ladder safety today: new guidance for employers’ on Thursday 15 July at 10:30am GMT.
In this event, we’ll introduce the guidance and walk through the key steps to preventing ladder accidents in the workplace, including how to select (and maintain) safe equipment and ensure all workers are competent. After the presentation, speakers from both organisations will answer your questions live.
Anyone responsible for the safety of ladder users will find this free, 90-minute session invaluable, including safety professionals, site managers, company directors and users themselves. It’s aimed at a UK audience but open to all.
Attendees will get an exclusive first look at the HSE’s new ladder safety webpages and be asked to contribute their feedback before they go live to the public. They’ll also receive an electronic copy of the Ladder Association’s updated Code of Practice.
